Kathleen Gillis, Psy.D. Licensed Psychologist

Within the formal Collaborative Divorce framework, I serve as either a Child Specialist or a Coach. I obtained my Collaborative Divorce training in 2008-2009, and enjoy working collaboratively with families, attorneys and other professionals within this capacity. A Collaborative Divorce allows the family to have an extraordinary amount of control - over the process and the outcome. In addition, it often results in a more durable and feasible divorce decree, and a parenting plan that is tailored to the needs of the children and the parents. Through the Collaborative Divorce process, families have access to experienced professionals who can provide valuable guidance in making a successful transition, and thereby, hopefully greatly reducing opportunities for post-divorce conflict. On the other hand, Collaborative Divorce is not for everyone. Participating in the Collaborative Divorce process is only for those families who are willing to disclose all, and who are willing to make the commitment to the process itself. In addition, although the cost of a Collaborative Divorce might be less than a litigated divorce, this is not always the case.

Please feel free to contact me to discuss various divorce options, what to reasonably expect from each option, and how to decide which option is best for you.
